Its been a week without any animation assignments and I'm completely bored. I have all these ideas that I would like to animate and such but Im not there yet, thus far I've done different scenerios with boucing balls and experimenting with walk cycles. nothing more to say.

Backstage was awesome, I finally saw Lauren sing. I was also upstage doing a song with her and Jen towards the end of the night. Freddy on the other hand, no comment. He left seconds before his time came up. It was a good song too. Brad was living the moment, youve done this before havent you Brad? Theres pictures out there.

Good times all around.

This is it. The last official assignment for this week. My last file upload. My last Q&A with my teacher (Mentor) and as an individual class. Next week it's a global meeting, meaning everyone in the same class level.
So this past Q&A we went through our progress begining from week one. I noticed a major improvement, starting with that basic bouncing ball. Damn it seemed so hard for me at the time, now its like a walk in the park. Im taking this step by step, kind of like when I trained for cross country, do a lil warm up, Run one mile at a time and focus on my pacing for each mile. Then when the real t hing came , I'd place all the techniques I learn and go for my fastest time.
Progress is slow when you dont know what you are doing. Even though I've managed to create some simple animations I'm still a long way from calling myself an animator. Anyhow I was going through other peoples assignments and I decided to start working out some body mechanics stuff. My first observation was to look for that bouncing ball center (hips). Our mentors have been telling us for the past 11 weeks to focus on the principles and the rest comes on its on, (something like that) so even after this quarter is over I'm going back to the bouncing ball to figure out timing issues and trying to get the slow in/out in motion. Do those who have been animating for a long time ever go back to the bouncing ball? I have no idea.

Anyhow I still haven't found a new place to call home. Hopefully I find something during the break.

New home.

So I've been searching for a new place to call home. The different people I've ran across with are rather interesting and some are rather strange in their own way. So far no leads, just looking. Though some are close to campus, I wouldnt want to drive to school too much since this next comming semester will be the longest.
I better go out and continue on with my search.
